Online Counselling

Although many people will be new to the idea of online or video counselling, it is actually more pleasant and less awkward than you might expect.  Appointments can be conducted by video via a secure and easy online platform. As long as you have a quiet and private space, and a strong wifi connection, online counselling may be a good option for you.

Tips to make the most of your online counselling session:

  • Find a quiet space free from distractions and close the door

  • Turn off your other electronic devices or notifications that might distract from your counselling

  • Let others know that you will be unavailable for the hour during your session

  • Jot down your ideas about what you would like to talk about

  • Consider planning some time for yourself afterwards before you transition back into your day.

  • Make sure you have a strong wifi connection and your microphone and camera are enabled on your device

  • It's okay to feel nervous. I get a little nervous too!
